Vector sketching

Hello, it’s Tuesday! I want to talk about vector sketching today.

I’ve been a bit ill and haven’t drawn anything new lately. So today I decided to share with you my progress in vector graphics. We have finished the class about brushes in Adobe Illustrator. And as homework, I had to create an illustration using standard brushes, as well as create my own brushes for repeating elements.

Vector Sketching - Mountains

I had several attempts to do my homework. First I wanted to draw a street in New York, but my own brush killed Illustrator because of the huge number of dots (I wanted to create a grainy effect)! So I lost my inspiration and switched to another image – it was actually a YouTube cover for some Chill mix. This time I used a standard brush to create the texture on the road and mountains. And my own brushes were used to create those spruces, as well as the leaves in the bushes by the road.

What do you think? Let me know in the comments! 🙂

Have a great week!
